Lelia King - Executive Director

Lelia's background is in marketing and communications, and she's always had a fascination and respect for technology (though she's not a developer herself). Lelia spent the last few years working among the programming community in Greenville and soon realized there's nothing more inspiring than helping someone realize their potential and change their life. She serves as Executive Director of Build Carolina, a South Carolina-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that runs Carolina Code School, SC Codes and Develop Carolina.

Sean Reid - Lead Instruction

Over the last two decades Sean has been a web developer, a teacher, a speaker, a roadie, and cheerleading coach. He’s done a lot of things at least one time, and some things more than once.
He’s fond of saying that he came out of the womb attached to a computer, which was no small feat back in the 1970s! He graduated from University of Georgia with a BA in English, that doesn’t get much use unless you really want to learn about King Arthur.  He and his wife moved to Greenville, SC in 2020 and refer to this as their “Goldilocks City,” because everything is “just right.”  He started as an SC/Codes mentor and finally joined the Carolina Code School staff in 2023. When he’s not working you can usually find him and his wife on the Swamp Rabbit Trail, attending concerts and art shows, or hanging out at a brewery.

Patisela Alegria - Program Coordinator

Paitisela (Pat) is a transplant from San Francisco, California. Pat is a Marine Corps. veteran and a graduate from Notre Dame de Namur. He taught and coached for 2 years in California before moving to Greenville, South Carolina to teach and coach for another 2 years here at Legacy Early College. He’s excited to help those looking for a career change into the tech industry by bringing them through Carolina Code School. When he’s not working you can usually find him on walks or hikes with his wife and two pups.
